Mission Statement
To provide business, professional, and community leaders opportunities for service to others in order to benefit our community and to promote high ethical standards, fellowship, and goodwill worldwide
Programs
Ready to Succeed: Participating in this program strengthens students’ skills as they improve their social and emotional skills and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to succeed after high school. More importantly, it gives them a crucial, weekly, dedicated space and time—with specific resources to focus their energy and time on preparing for their futures. It gives them the emotional tools they need to avoid gangs and prepare for life after high school.
Teen Good Character Awards: These awards are given to high school students in the Fairfield Suisun Unified School District who demonstrate good character and integrity, and who embody the principles of Rotary’s Four-Way Test. Selection is not based on the students’ scholastic or athletic achievements, but rather on their good deeds, which makes this recognition program unlike any other. Teachers, peers, and the community recommend these students for the honor for such actions as helping other students succeed in their studies, standing up to bullies, and improving their community through volunteerism. The students receive certificates of recognition and a cash award from the Rotary Club as well as certificates of commendation from elected officials from State and local offices.
